Ya' Sink 'r Swim-1st of 5 Survi'l Tips On Stay'n Tha' Course

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always aboundning in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58

Christian's, do ya' feel like sometimes you're in a fishbowl where all eyes are look'n in on ya'? Where instead a' feel'n confident in ya' faith, ya' feel more like bait? Where all ya' energy is spent tread'n water and you're one step away of goin'n belly up?

We're gonna' swim through 5 surviv'l tips that have helped me - 'n I hope will help you too - be more confident 'n steadfast in ya' faith in our chang'n world ta'day. Jesus wants us ta' encourge 'n uplift each other. Here we go!

Survival Tip #1:  'Stay'n Tha' Course':

While Tha' Tide Rises 'n Falls 'Round Ya' Feet

Have ya ev'r been at tha' beach 'n plant'd ya' feet in tha' sand 'n flet tha' water splash ov'r 'em? Ya' feet sink in tha' sand 'n ya' have this sensation that your bein'n take'n out ta' sea. Are ya' feet plant'd on firm faith 'r sand?

Remember tha' story 'bout when Jesus took two fish 'n five loaves a' bread 'n fed 5,000 people? I can imagine tha' look on tha' disciples faces. Afterwards, Jesus need'd some time ta' be by Himself for a while.

It was nite, 'n tha' disciples were in their boat on tha' water. A strong wind came up 'n tha' disciples were scar'd ta' death! They saw someth'n on tha' wat'r com'n toward 'em. Jesus said, "Don't be afraid, it's me." Peter asked Jesus if it was really Him, ta' tell him to go out ta' Him on tha' water. Jesus said, "Come." I can see Peter climb'n out 'a that sway'n boat. He start'd walk'n on water without sink'n. Now, I've been at tha' beach when it storm'd. Tha' waves splash hard. As long as Peter look'd at Jesus, he was fine. But once he lost focus, he start'd sink'n. Cain't ya' hear Peter cry'n out, "Help me, Lord. Save me." Then see Jesus stretch'n out His arm 'n pull'n Peter up ta' safety. Then Jesus said, "Oh, ye of little faith." Tha' wind and sea got calm again'n.

Psalm 107 says: "Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper, the waves of the sea were hushed."

For ya' ta' think 'bout: In what areas of ya' life are ya' sink'n?

A little boy gave his fish 'n loaves of bread. What are your loaves
                                       'n fishes?

What do ya' have ta' give?

Lord, give us strength ta' be steadfast in our faith ta'day. Help us ta' keep our focus on You 'n not things of tha' world. Praise 'n thanks Lord, Amen.
