When God Calls You, Will You Step Out?

I was eatin’ at the Frog Holler Café for lunch last week.  A man came in ‘n ordered a plate to go.  After the waitress, Mary Alice, gave him his meal, she told him how much it cost.  The man said, “I don’t have enough money. Can I come back ‘n pay you later?” She let him take it. 

 

When I got up to pay for my lunch, I had this urgent feelin’ to pay for the man’s sandwich too.  Mary Alice thanked me ‘n said, “Jesus sent you here today.”  I asked her what she meant.  Mary Alice said, “I felt sorry for the man ‘n wanted to help him.  The café owner doesn’t like for us to do ‘hand outs’.  I’d have to pay for his meal.  I’ve got a sick little girl ‘n can’t afford to do it.  As I let the man have his plate, I asked Jesus to send somebody to help me.” 

A man got a good hot meal.  Mary Alice did a good deed ‘n didn’t have to pay for it.  I left feelin’ blessed ‘n humble. 

 

God uses us every day do His will to help others! When you feel an urgent need to do or say somethin’, it may be God callin’ you to step out!

 

So thankful that God guides our steps!

 

Psalm 37: 23-24 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.

Things To Think 'bout:

1. Do you heed God's callin's?
2. Ask God to prompt you to help others.

Lord, thank you for your daily guidance in our steps. Give us the wisdom to make the right decisions. In the name of Jesus, amen.
