We're Weak Yet Strong Through Christ

Cousin Claudine is a take charge kind of lady. Whenever there’s a task ta’ be done, she steps up ‘n charges forward! Cousin Claudine knows how ta’ get things done. There’s only one problem – it’s usually done her way, in her power. What happens when ya’ take control instead of God?

We are weak but God is strong. We are strong through Him. If ya’ try ta’ go on your own power, you’ll burn out in no time.

2 Corinthians 13: 4 For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.

God is all sufficient! He is all we need!

When ya’ need ta’ make decisions, unless it’s done God’s way, it’s in vain. Learn ta’ let go! Let God call tha’ shots! Let tha’ power of God be your fuel! You’ll make a whole lot better choices!

Things ta’ think ‘bout:

1.      Are ya’ tryin’ ta’ make choices on your own?

2.      Will ya’ ask God ta’ help ya’ give up your control ‘n let Him be in control?

Lord, we are weak. Help us ta’ gain strength through you. Help us ta’ learn how ta’ let go ‘n let you take control. Thank ya’. In tha’ name of Jesus, amen.

  1. I think I struggle with that the most. I'm a doer and not a very good waiter. I tend to do first and think later or rather do first and wait for God later. I guess my issue isn't as much KNOWING that I need to wait for God and give it to Him, but HOW to do that. What does that really mean? What does it look like? How do I know? So I do.

  2. Janet thank you this blog is so timely....ever since the Lord blessed me to write a book called Pausing With God, A Journey Through Menopause; I learned that Pausing With Him was more about my journey through menopause....it stretched to the other areas of my life. We women tend to move 100 miles a minute, but if we see how God had everything already figured out since the beginning of time....we would do ourselves a favor and go along for the ride with Him. Thanks again and praying you have a fabulous weekend.....

  3. I think many times people feel that their problems are too small to bother God. God doesn't see our problems in varying sizes. He wants us to have faith in him at all times no matter the size of the mountain.
