Want Rest? Try God!

Sometimes when I'm stressed 'n feelin' a heavyness on my shoulders, I forget ta' go ta' God. Instead I take on tha' task 'a workin' things out myself. Big mistake! Does this ever happen ta' ya'?

God wants us ta' throw our troubles on Him 'cause He wants ta' carry our load for us.

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
Are ya' shoulders heavey? Are ya' tired? Are ya' weary? Are ya' weighed down with troubles? Don't be in such a hurry  runin' 'round tryin' ta' fix things by yaself. Run ta' God 'n throw everythin' on Him. Things seem ta' work out better. Mamma says that ya' need ta' let go 'n let God. She says that you'll always find rest in tha' arms of Jesus.

Will ya' let God carry your burdens for ya'?

Lord, thank ya' for always lovin' us even though we don't always come ta' ya' with our troubles. I pray Father for anyone goinin' through difficult times, give them your peace 'n love. In tha' name of Jesus, amen.

God bless ya'lls hearts!

Spring is not far away ya'll! Lots of women events 'n retreats.

  1. I think the challenge is HOW. We know we should, but how do we do that? Some try, others do and then take it back. Some never figure out how.

  2. Janet, thanks for sharing the post and for the reminder to bring our cares to God. Blessings, Deborah H. Bateman

  3. I believe in this from the bottom of my heart. Faith is such a funny thing because it seems so simple to have it when you realize you can relax and rely on our Creator to carry us...but for some reason so many of us refuse to accept this as fact and instead think that faith requires fear.
I guess having faith also means that we must trust that our Creator will manage to bring out the true faith in all of us somehow and we shouldn't worry about that either.
