Clara Sue's been a good friend of mine for many years. She's so full of God's joy, it spills out of her for evrone ta see. When her house caught fire, she lost all she had. She no longer could look at pictures that reminded her of good times. All of her homemade quilts were gone. Even her Bible was burned. For awhile, Clara Sue's joy was gone. A few days later, someone brought her a letter they had found in the rubble. It was from her mamma tellin her ta never lose tha joy of tha Lord no matter what happened in life. She listed some scripture passages:
John 15:11 Jesus said, "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full."
John 16:24 "Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."
1 John 1:4-5 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
Clara Sue was reminded that she still had joy even in her loss 'n pain. God is now usin her testimony for Him.
