God's Love On Tha Cross

Mamma was famous for her biscuits. She evn got a write up in tha paper. One of her God givn talents was cookn. Tha kitchn was her favorite place ta be. She lovd ta cook for people. Her joy was seein em eat 'n hearn em say how good it was. Ya could hear mamma singn one of tha old hymns as she cookd. She lovd The Old Rugged Cross.


I asked mamma why she liked that hymn so much. She told me that 'cause Christ died on tha cross ta save us from our sin. He lovd us so much that He endurd tha pain of nails bein hammerd inta His hands 'n feet. He wore tha crown of thorns for ya. He bore ridicule 'n shame. He gave His life so you can have eternal life. Mamma said that her heart is happy 'cause Jesus lives there.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

God's love for us was His Son, Jesus. He was born 'n grew up to be a man, who became a King like no other king before Him or since. Praise tha' Lord!

Heavenly Father, thank ya for your Son, Jesus. Thank ya for His life on tha cross 'n that His grace saves us from sin. May we have a happy heart 'cause you live within us. In tha name of Jesus, amen.
