In tha' south, it's all 'bout food. Mamma loves ta' cook for people. She says it takes tha' right amount of spices 'n ingredients ta' get tha' right flavor. Ya' put salt on it so it'll taste better.  

Just as salt changes tha' way food tastes, Christians are ta' live their life as an example ta' enhance 'n change others lives. If ya' lose your 'salt', it's no good ta' help others anymore.

Matthew 5:13 You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

Christians are ta' be examples ta' others so they will see Christ in us. We're ta' be salt 'n light!

Matthew 5:14-15 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

With Jesus in your life, ya' can be a light for others ta' see Him. Don't keep your light hiddin', keep it out in tha' open for all ta' see.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

As a lighthouse is ta' ships at sea, a Christian is ta' be a beacon of light showin' others tha' way ta' Christ!
