Flavor for Faith

 

 

In the south, it's all 'bout food. Mamma loves to cook for people. She says it takes the right amount of spices 'n ingredients to get the right flavor. Salt is what she uses most. Mamma says that it makes food tastes better!

 

Just as salt changes the way food tastes, Christians are to live their life as an example to enhance 'n change others lives. If you lose your 'salt', it's no good to help others anymore.

 

Matthew 5:13 You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

 

Christians are to be examples to others so they will see Christ in us. We're to be salt 'n light!

 

Matthew 5:14-15 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

 

With Jesus in your life, you can be a light for others to see Him. Don't keep your light hiddin', keep it out in the open for all to see.

 

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

 

 

As a lighthouse is to ships at sea, a Christian is to be a beacon of light showin' others the way to Christ!

Lord, give us the wisdom to be the flavor for faith. Help us to have the desire to share You with others. In the name of Jesus, amen.
